See Through Fabric

Just used LakeHouse Fabric and it is one of the best to work with. If you make a mistake, you can rip out the error and the fabric will not fray. Some discounted fabrics are "see-through" and cannot withstand more than one sewing. The fabric practically dissolves in your hands. The question is....why would someone use flimsy fabric that may even wash away at the seams in a project that may take many hours of hard work??

  1. I want to believe that people who make "fragile fiber artwork" will encase it in plexiglass and break the fingers of anyone who tampers with it. Your choice of LakeHouse Fabric is a great one. Fragile fabrics can undermine the most accomplished quilter at times, so your suggestion is fabulous. That fabric with a Quattro sounds like a winning combination to me! I am going through your blog and reading it, loving it and waiting to see what you are up to next!

  2. Thank you, Cookie, for adding to my blog. We all miss you. We think you should move to NY so we can see more of you, but with your busy schedule, you never seem to be home!! Kathleen is whipping through her Piecemaker's 2010 quilt and she is adding embroidery, of course. We should start a "Kathleen Watch" on our site!! Chris
